Is this America's most luxurious hostel?

Hostels often get a bad rap. I mean, spending the night with 8 strangers can be off-putting to some (and a turn-on to others, I guess). But, seriously, I've spent a considerable amount of time in hostels all over Europe, from London, Berlin and Amsterdam, to Prague and Paris. Some were great and pretty damn cool, with on-site bars, swimming pools, jacuzzis, while others were, well, let's just say, they weren't the kinda places I'd feel comfortable taking off my socks.

But, I'm pretty sure the new Freehand Hostel in Miami, Florida blows all others away. Now, this isn't the cheapest hostel, but if you visit during the off-season it's pretty reasonable for Miami.

Freehand Miami is a "reinvention of the historic Indian Creek Hotel," which was one of Miami Beach's "classic 1930s Art Deco buildings."

"We have incorporated handcrafted design by Roman & Williams, and we collaborated with the award-winning duo behind Bar Lab to create the inventive cocktails, tasty food, and warm atmosphere at our bar, The Broken Shaker, and new restaurant, 27." - The Freehand

The hostel is located at the corner of 28th St. and Indian Creek Drive. You're seriously just a few short blocks from South Beach.

This place is definitely going to set you back a pretty penny, but again, if you're planning on visiting during the off-season it is affordable in contrast to the other boutique hotels Miami has to offer.
